I. Entrance Fees
Charged to anyone connecting to the Templeton Water System as per schedule
The purpose is to account for the costs associated with increased capacity, system expansion, hydrant maintenance and various improvements necessary as a result of construction of the new unit.
1” Line (minimum) $4,300.00

*defined as a residence that houses more than one living unit.
II. Hydrant Fees
The purpose is to recover the cost of providing additional fire protection and to recover unmetered water use for both public and private entities.
Municipality $300.00/hydrant/year
All Others $200.00/hydrant/year
III. Sprinkler Fees
The purpose is to recover the cost of providing additional fire protection and to recover unmetered water use.
Commercial Building (up to 20,000 sq. ft.) $50.00 per quarter
Commercial Building (over 20,000 sq. ft.) $100.00 per quarter
Domestic Building $25.00 per quarter
Areas are determined by Board of Assessor’s records
IV. Backflow Testing Fee
Initial Survey $0.00
Device Testing (April & October) $100 per test
All new commercial and industrial buildings attached to the Templeton Water System may be required to install (at the service entrance and immediately downstream of the meter) a reduced pressure (RP) back flow device. A survey of the commercial and industrial establishment will determine the need for said device. The device must be approved by the Templeton Water Plant. All costs will be paid by the owners and/or the person(s) to whom the bills are assigned.
V. Meter Fees
Accuracy Testing $80.00 per test
If testing indicates that the meter in question was registering incorrectly then this fee will be waived.
Customers allowing their meter to be damaged by frost or otherwise will be held responsible. Customers will pay for their replacement parts and service charges as outlined in the fee schedule.
The second meter installation (for irrigation) at any house, apartment, condominium or other residence will carry a fee of $400.00, effective 2/9/2005.
VI. Inspection Fees
Water Service Lines
Residential: Regular Hours $50.00 flat rate $38.00 per hour after 1 hour
After Hours fee determined upon request
Commercial/Industrial: Regular Hours $50.00 flat rate $59.00 per hour after 1 hour
After Hours fee determined upon request
Pressure Test Observation & Chlorination
Residential: Regular Hours Only $50.00 flat rate

VII. Fire Flow Testing Fees
Testing is to be performed during non-working hours.
$200.00 flat rate per flush
$59.00 per hour after 1 hour
VIII. Pressure & Flow Testing Fees
Testing is to be performed during working hours. Actual testing is to be performed by Templeton’s Consulting Engineer.
$50.00 flat rate
$59.00 per hour after 1 hour
IX. Tapping Fee
$550.00 flat rate (includes meter w/ ERT module plus materials)
X. Service Calls
During Working Hours $0.00
After Working Hours charges based on actual costs of materials, equipment & labor
XI. Water Disconnects & Reconnects
A RECONNECTION CHARGE OF $75.00 BETWEEN 7:00 AM AND 12:00 PM, MONDAY THRU FRIDAY, OUTSIDE OF THESE HOURS, YOU WILL NEED TO CONTACT OUR OFFICE TO MAKE YOUR PAYMENT AND SCHEDULE THE RECONNECTION FOR THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY.
XII. Water Sales for Swimming Pools
Any customer wishing to utilize the Templeton Water System for the purpose of filling a residential swimming pool may do so with the approval of the Water Superintendent or his/her designee.
1. The gallons of water utilized for this purpose shall be billed at the Step III rate of $14.15 per 1,000 gallons.
2. There shall be a $75.00 hydrant connection fee for this type of work.
3. Filling of swimming pools shall not be permitted during periods of water restrictions or bans. Those found doing so shall be prosecuted according to the law.
XIII. Consultant Reviewing Fee
There shall be an $800.00 flat rate cost associated with Templeton Water hiring a consulting engineer for the purposes of determining pipe sizes, hydrant locations and valve requirements necessary to properly connect to the municipal water system.
